Butterfly fun

At the elementary school, each class got a couple of caterpillars and enjoyed watching them turn into chrysalis and then into monarch butterflies.
Last summer I had bought a butterfly set, so we ordered our caterpillars recently. The whole family enjoyed watching the little worms grow bigger and bigger and then turn into chrysalis.
About 7 days later, one by one but all within 24 hours, the chrysalis opened to show some pink lady butterflies. We cut some cuties & put them at the bottom of our container. Then we took it outside and opened the welcome door.
Campbell checking out the butterflies.
By the end of the day, four of the five had found their way out. It was so sweet when Campbell went out to check before bedtime, she put her hand inside and the one butterfly left flew onto her arm and allowed her to bring it out.
And away it flew. It was a wonderful time for the children and us.
