Love is in the Air

The time has come & gone for the Daddy~Daughter dance hosted by the Girl Scouts. This year Conleigh and Peter double dated with our friends Eric and Emma Schultz. The four of them went out to dinner before the big dance. The theme this year was masquerade in case you wondered why Conleigh was wearing her New Orleans mask.

I understand that multiple people complimented Conleigh on her dress. Peter said that so many people kept telling her about how pretty her dress was, and trust me, it made her feel super special!

While they were dancing the night away, Alex, Campbell and I had our own fun with the other part of the Schultz family. Liz & Hayden(Chicken) and the three of us went out for pizza and yogurt. Then we headed to our house where Liz hung frames on the wall in our family room. The same wall that had a shelf one month ago now has a beautiful display of frames. All the picture frames don't even have pictures in them yet, but I love the wall! Thanks Liz.
We went out to mexican food tonight. Too hungry to cook. Bad excuse, but true. Only had a couple sips of a margarita and then handed it to Peter. Scale will tell the story tomorrow. Trying so hard, but falling flat.

Guess where we are going?

What's for dinner?

Oh, we need to eat at home. Oh, the funds fly out of our wallets when we do not plan. To try to stay healthy and accountable, I'm going to publish our dinner menu for the week.
If you have an easy recipe, that you throw together occasionally, please do tell.

Monday, Feb 8: Chicken Noodle soup. I made this about a month ago and Peter thought it was dee-lish, so I'll give it another whirl although there are no promises. I'll put a green veggie on the table too.

Tuesday, Feb 9: Gymnastics night, so Peter usually beats us home. How about some fish & veggies.

Wednesday, Feb 10: Couscous with Chicken & Artichokes. Easy recipe. We haven't had it for awhile, so hopefully it will tickle our tastebuds. Small green salad too.

Thursday, Feb 11: Brocolli/Zucchini cheddar quiche

Friday, Feb 12: I'm struggling. This is where our downfall happens. If there is no plan, we eat out. I'll come up with something, but I'm open to suggestions too (hint, hint - please come out of lurk-dom).

What's a boy to do?

What's a boy to do when all his clothes are dirty and mom has NOTHING for him to wear? Why wear his sister's silky feeling, bubble gum decorated pajama pants. That's what!

By the way, I love this kid more than I can tell you. Right now he is very interested in if the groundhog saw his shadow, he loves going to the YMCA, eating canteloupe & green peas (not together) and snuggling with mama. I just can't get enough!
