Disney - Day 3 Hollywood Studios

Army Man near the Toy Story ride. Great ride!
On Day 3, which was Saturday, we went to the early Magic Hours. That means if you are staying on Disney property, you get into one of the parks an hour early. That day was Hollywood Studios.  This was the one and only day we used the magic hour and you could see the crowd was bigger to take advantage of the EMH.  I had purchased the planning suggestions of Tour Guide Mike which has a million suggestions for planning.  He is not a big believer in the magic hour and I tend to agree with him.  Too many people go to the magic hour, not enough rides are open during that hour and the benefit of getting in early wears off quickly because of all the people who know they can get in one hour early.
With that said, we got onto the Rockin' Roller Coaster super quick. Like, I think we were in the second car to go that day.  When we walked into the line, they said they were still running their checks.  The first time I rode it, I didn't love it, but I rode it again in the evening and I loved it.  They play Aerosmith music throughout the ride and it does rock!  Conleigh & Emma are rockers too. They love roller coasters and this one was no exception.  The dads enjoyed it as well.
Dads and thrill seeking girls outside Rockin' Rollercoaster.
Liz hung out with the boys while we rode. They were not interested in Rockin', and Campbell wasn't tall enough.  48 inch requirement on that one.
Liz got fast passes for Tower of Terror. I passed on that ride, but even Campbell was a trooper and did it. Now she brags about it, but she'll also say that she was so scared and held onto Daddy's arm the whole time.
Other highlights of the day were meeting Phineas & Ferb.  Hayden and Campbell managed to get some acting in by participating in the shows while we waited to meet the duo.
We ate lunch at the 50's Prime Time Diner which was super fun.  The server kind of threw the silverware on the table and said, "the tables not going to set itself. Get busy." He also told more than one of us to get our elbows off the table and then he had the kids all take their own dishes to the kitchen. Good comfort food and atmosphere.
After lunch, Conleigh, Campbell and I went to see a Beauty & the Beast show. It was wonderful, just like Broadway. The rest of the crew went to an Indiana Jones show that they liked equally as well.

My beautiful girls.

We attended an American Idol show which was fun because we got to vote.  Another fun part was getting to go to a drawing class. During our class, we learned to draw Eeyore.  Great time!
Can you see Campbell's pitiful face? She was very unhappy with her rendering of Eeyore.

Loved Hollywood Studios. Conleigh did too!

Sneak Peak into our WDW trip - Epcot Day 1

Daddy & Conleigh waiting at the bus stop. Ready to hit Epcot on Day 1.

Passing the time at the bus stop with Rock,Paper, Scissors.

Kimpossible adventure. Our crew saving the world! They had a cell phone that gave them hints and they had to follow the hints to save the world.  They had a great time. We let them run free. We didn't even know where they were part of the time.  A definite advantage to January crowds rather than the mobs of summer.

Alex & Hayden take on the Gnomes in Norway.

And soon enough, we were visiting China.

We watched a fun show in France and the kids got autographs and this cute picture with the actors.

The Sea.  We loved the Turtle Talk with Crush. Conleigh even asked a question.

LOVE

Fun first night at the Biergarten in Germany.  Kids danced and the guys drank beer. Food was good too.

More adventures to come!
