Good Friday

We traveled to Montgomery yesterday to visit with Granny. Daddy had gone down late Wednesday night to go to the doctor with her on Thursday. Good news. The treatment seems to be working and the tumors are shrinking. Praise God!

We enjoyed our time in the country. The wildflowers were beautiful on the drive. Sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the hustle of our city living, so it was a true breath of fresh air to spend time outside with flowers and bugs and horses. The girls went crazy making bouquets from all the flowers in Granny's yard.

Lunch was at a steakhouse in town. The sand pit outside provided an hours worth of fun for the kids. We also hung out at the city park which is walking distance to Granny's house. Campbell and Alex got to ride their bikes there. It won't be long and Campbell will be zooming on two wheels. Her little 'skuut' bike has been great. I highly recommend it for little ones learning to ride.
On the way back to Austin, Peter found a great patch of Indian paintbrush and blue bonnets and snapped these cute pictures (Granny let us borrow her camera til we can replace ours).

On this most important day, we thank Jesus for the ultimate gift, as he paid for our sins with his life. God Bless us all.
