The Big Easy

I guess it is a tradition that we stop in New Orleans for the night on our return trip from Destin.
This time Alex took the express car ride with grandma and grandpa to Houston. We missed him a lot, but it was also nice to be with our girls.
We ate at our favorite place, Mulates. We also walked the market both Friday and Saturday and ate Cafe DuMonde. We swam briefly in the hotel pool and just relaxed.
It was a good stop in the Big Easy, as usual.

Life is Good at Cafe DuMonde.  Conleigh just loves New Orleans and she was craving some beignets. Her wish came true about 4:00pm Friday.
Obviously, Campbell was diggin' the powdered sugar fiesta.
Peter snapped this cool picture of the church at Jackson Square.  We saw two brides that evening.

Conleigh had spotted a museum of pharmacy. She really wanted to go in, so after breakfast Saturday, we all spent time in the museum. It was more interesting than I expected. They even had
some live leaches from back in the day when they thought leaches helped by sucking your blood! Eech.

What's a stop in New Orleans with out trying on masks?
The girls enjoying their snowballs at the French Market. Conleigh also bought some Alligator jerky. She said it was good. I'll just take her word for it.
Conleigh's choice for masks. Each girl brought another one home.
